Alcohol, when the chilled golden fluid known as beer runs down your throat on a hot summers day, when the fresh taste of whiskey on the rocks hits your throat at a casino, or just kicking back to relax in front of a fireplace alcoholic beverages have always been there with us helping us calm our nerves.
Imagine a hot sunday afternoon, you are all alone at home in your underpants just watching TV, you go to the fridge and there before you is a pint of your favorite beer in there chilled and waiting to be opened. That feeling of satisfaction can only be achieved with beer (or maybe orange juice... i like orange juice).
Some people drink for fun and some people drink to forget, no matter what your mental condition a pint or two will always do you good.

I would like to quote Dr Sheldon Copper from the big bang theory where he says
"Aah memory impairment, The free gift under every vodka bottle"
My purpose behind the above quote was to bring to light the benefit of the drink. Say you just got dumped, or you found out your mother was not your mother but your father is actually your uncle and your grandmom married her brother. The news messes with your head to such an extent that you just wanna forget you ever heard they said. So you go to your local bar and drink up your wallet'w worth of alcohol and you wake up next morning in another woman's bedroom thinking why you have a koala on the bed and why the bed is in the zoo. Most of al you will be wondering why your head hurts so much or why are there bite marks on your arm.
Although you will be confused about many things you will for sure feel better about yourself cause after all, your mind wont be at the breakup or whatever.
Alcohol is great but all good comments have a big hairy "BUT" following them always. Alcohol damages liver tissue causing cirrhosis and ultimately liver failure. Chronic drinking often leads to fatty liver syndrome or some conditions like Hepatomegaly. In most of the cases people tend to get jaundiced because of liver dysfunction.
So now i know all this sounds bad but if you continue drinking trust me it may get way worse. Trust me i have seen cases where the liver is so damaged that the doctors cannot do anything about it.
I would like to say that if you want to drink, do it lightly and do not abuse the substance. If feeling depressed do not look to alcohol as the only silver lining. Face the fact that you are fat and lonely and nobody likes you, or she isn't your mother. Alcohol is meant to be a chilling out chemical just to loosen up after a long days work and not to drown your sorrows in. So remember, if you wanna drink, do it lightly and protect your liver.
