FIFA 14!!!

"EA sports, To the game"The slogan of the EA sports franchise has always struck up a feeling of nostalgia in me, sending a chill down my spine every time i open an EA game. Ever since FIFA 04 i have been a huge fan of FIFA games and other Electronic Arts productions such as Medal of honor, Battlefield and the sims.So yesterday i downloaded the latest release of the game FIFA 14 and may i tell you something, I failed to sleep the entire night.I was up just thinking about what the game makers have added this time as the download progressed. once the 1.27 GB file was downloaded I opened it and there he was. Lionel Messi on the cover once again.I was not as surprised as i expected to be but i have to say that the FIFA 14 for android and iOS is a dumbed down, stripped back and streamlined version of the console games that spawned it.But the good thing about it is that the touch controls are really slick and smooth. The passing is easy because all you need to do is click on a player or any spot on the pitch and leave the rest of the calculations like how the pass should be and how much power required to the game. Although the control pad can be customized to the virtual keypad, the way FIFA originally was meant to be played on touch devices, it is a pain moving your fingers around so much just for simple things like passing and shooting. The swipe to shoot feature is very confusing as the player ends up doing something else and if the swipe is not complete, the shot fails. EA managed to come out with a really interactive user interface for the game but with a few modifications to the touch controls i can see this game become a big thing on the android and iOS markets.Play modes include quick online matches against live opponents and play your favorite teams upcoming real life fixture, but the real meat and potatoes is the ultimate team, where you build your own team of players from all over the world and slowly build your team into a powerhouse.

In all these game modes,FIFA 14 takes full advantages of the crazy number of licenses it holds, depicting real players and teams from 40 different languages that span the globe. The graphics aren't quite console quality but certainly hold their own in maybe every way but hair styles, and automatic updates means the rosters and kits remain up to date. On the audio side, the default setting is to hear the game's excellent soundtrack while you play, but commentary tracks in five different languages can be downloaded off the game itself.

To play this game online you will need to have a stable internet connection because online multiplayer tends to lag and freeze at certain places. So for full and complete utilization of all the features the game has to offer, i would recommend a stable internet connection.
After the release of FIFA 14 on the google play store and the iOS store, all i can really hope for now is an update where all the bugs are fixed so that at the end of the day i can tell my friends that i played an amazing game today.
